Things You Might Have Missed
I’m still missing most everything, but I managed to catch a few bits of news.
Indigenous people in Ecuador are being targeted for protest.
The Eastern Navajo Diné filed a petition with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in the hopes of stopping uranium mining. The petition is worth reading, especially the stats about poverty on the reservation.
Some woman in San Francisco just got her tenth degree blackbelt. Did I mention that she is 98 and the first woman to ever get one. Badass.
Finally a little bit of justice in Guatemala.
This article in MoJo about the warden at Angola prison is great. And creepy. And depressing.
My friend Enrico is trying to raise funds for a co-op book. Check it out on Kickstarter.
And finally, Gene defends us anarchists over on his blog Agreeable Anarchism.
